The Cars debut had some amazing airplay and

several hits - some that today you still here on the

radio.

 Good Times Roll , My Best Friends Girl , Just What I Needed , I'm in Touch with Your World , Dont Cha Stop , Your All Ive Got Tonight , Bye Bye Love , Moving in Steroe and All Mixed Up !

I personally love thier sophomore effort Candy O - it to me had a

amazing sound to it- but only two songs made radio play -I think they
got ripped off with the lack of airplay had.

 Lets Go ,Since I Held You ,Its All I Can Do ,Double Life , Shoo Be Doo , Candy O ,Nightspots , You Cant Hold On To Long ,Lust for Kicks , Got A Lot on My Head , Dangerous Type

The third album Panorama was a peculiar album- the beginning of

transition from guitar driven to more 80s synth - and it was not thier

high point- but it had some excellent songs- more straight new wave I

felt- creative, just fell short - but I still love putting this disc on-

underrated- but not thier best!

Panorama , Touch and Go ,Gimmie Some Slack , Dont Tell Me No ,Getting Through ,Misfit Kid , Down Boys , You Wear Those Eyes ,Running to You , UP and Down .

The 4th album - Shake It Up I felt they hit on all cylinders ,pardon

the pun , in the synth department- I totally dug the way everyone did

their part . Hawkes on his keyboards, Eastons guitar , the whole

band was very cohesive in this awesome album. The first lp/cassette I

ever bought-
Since Your Gone , Shake It Up ,I'm Not the One ,Victim of Love , Cruiser ,A Dream Away ,This Could Be Love ,Think It Over , Maybe Baby

The amazing pop rock album ,their 5th album , HeartBeat City stormed the airwaves with a ton of hits , the

most since their debut .with excellent videos and lots of celebs showing up in their videos also!!

 Hello Again ,Looking for Love , Magic ,Drive ,Stranger Eyes ,You Might Think ,Its Not the Night ,Why Cant I Have You , I Refuse ,Heartbeat City (Jacki)

The 6th album had some hits- but went largely unnoticed- which is

crazy, it had some excellent work on it-some great rock stuff, and

some sad pop songs, and the radio friendly good tracks!

 Leave or Stay , You are the Girl ,Double Trouble ,Fine Line , Everything You Say ,Ta Ta Wayo Wayo ,Strap Me In, Coming Up You ,Wound Up On You ,Go Away , Door to Door

THEN THE WAIT BEGAN- DURING THIS TIME- A LOT OF

SOLO STUFF BY OCASEK , AND IN LAST FEW YEARS

OCASEK,ORR, EASTON , AND HAWKES ALL RELEASED

SOLO MATERIAL. THE END WAS HERE- THE CARS RAN OUT

OF GAS. THEN A TRAGIC DAY OCTOBER 2000,BENJAMIN

ORR PASSED AFTER A BATTLE WITH PANCREATIC CANCER-

THAT PRETTY MUCH SHOT THE HELL OUT OF A REUNION. ALMOST! THE CRAS GOT GO

AHEAD FROM RIC TO DO A SEMI REUNION CALLED THE NEW CARS, WITH TODD

RUNDGREN HEADIN UP VOCALS AND COVERED LOTS OF HITS AND 3 NEW TRACKS.

THIS DID NOT DO VERY WELL.RIC CALLED IN THE FORCES- AND THE CARS- THE CARS

WERE BACK- ALL THE ORIGINAL EXCEPT BENJAMIN ORR. THEY DID A 11 CITY YOUR IN

USA SUPPORTING A NEW BATCH OF TUNES- THAT HAD SOUNDS FROM ALL ERAS OF

THIER MUSIC- AND ACTUALLY IS A VERY GOOD ALBUM- IT WAS CALLED ,THIS 7TH

DISC- MOVE LIKE THIS-

EXCELLENT- IT HAS ALL THE B SIDES ,UNRELEASED STUFF , AND WITH THAT IF YOU GET

THE GREATEST HITS- YOU WILL HAVE IT ALL! THE GH'S HAS A REMIX OF "IM NOT THE
